Requirements
Perform logical and physical database design to support our customers.
Prepare current database structure and configuration for high-performance/high-availability through analysis and optimization.
Handle development escalations that require data manipulation on high volume production servers.
Participation in a rotating on-call schedule.
Qualifications:
Oracle DBA Experience Perform Logical/ Physical Database Design
5+ Y ears of experience developing in PL/SQL and/or T-SQL.
Fluent knowledge of ANSI-SQL (all versions).
Experience writing stored procedures using established coding conventions.
Experience with optimization and troubleshooting techniques to address performance problems on Oracle 10g. MS SQL 2005 Enterprise a plus
Knowledge of statistical concepts and their application in reporting and data mart applications.
Oracle Rac experience is a plus.
Proficiency tuning, analyzing and recommending improvements to Schema and SQL.
Experience in alternate database solutions is a PLUS; MS SQL 2005 Enterprise a PLUS.
Experience working in a high availability, VLDB environment a PLUS.
Java coding knowledge a PLUS.
Excellent customer relations, technical support, and people skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to deliver on deadlines and perform with minimal supervision.
